AKP was born in 1989 and has always had an enormous interest in music. AKP's late father realised his talent at a young age and surrounded him with traditional punjabi instruments. AKP was particularly taken by the dhol. He had basic training in this and developed his skills further. Eventually his passion for the dhol and rhythms grew and his hobby turned into a profession. His created beats became increasingly popular and he became a teacher and a mentor in a short space of time. His students respected his enthusiasm, talent and music and encouraged his progression and this lead the opening of AKP's ''Champion Sounds''.

Champion Sounds allowed AKP to play alongside some of the biggest artists in the punjabi music industry whilst playing in some of the biggest events in the nation. This gave him the opportunity to promote punjabi culture of which music is an integral part to a wider audience.

Alongside being a dominant force in the dhol playing industry, he developed a love for DJ mixing and start creating DJ sets which have been noticed nationwide.

AKP has proven to have a very positive career in this industry and he has developed this in such a short space of time. This only highlights the fact that he is able to progress further and has much more to give to the punjabi music industry.

Harvi D has always been a big admirer and fan of punjabi music and culture.

This passion lead him onto the path he is following today. He is not only a dj with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to punjabi music and artists, but  also presents his own weekly radio show on Kohinoor FM 97.3 and has been presenting radio for the past 6 years. It is here where Harvi honed his skill as a DJ.  He later went on to become a part of Aman Hayer's Entourage. Where he gained a reputation of being a DJ who created a fun and traditional atmosphere at an event. Having dj'd for the likes of Geeta Zaildar, Angrej Ali, Benny Dhaliwal plus many more, Harvi was presented with a chance to join Speed Roadshow. And the rest as they say, is history...

The birth of Ekkwinox is some what of an early story with his musical journey just taking off however, already having production credits for artists such as: Bone Thugs n Harmony, Snowy and Raxstar to name a few and having his debut EP aired on BBC Introducing and BBC Asian Network over 15 times he continues to aim to push the boundaries of British Asian music.
